Senior Director of Organizational Development, Talent Management and Learning
Matthew Hirst has more than 30 years of mid- to senior-level experience in operations, employee relations, organizational readiness, talent assessment and development, organizational communications and branding, and executive development. He currently serves as the senior director of talent, organizational development, and learning for GME, the GameStop family of gaming, mobile and entertainment brands. Hirst is a senior business leader, talent strategist and industrial/organizational psychologist.
Hirst is currently completing his Ph.D. dissertation in psychology, which studies the value and impact of intuitive leadership. He also holds a doctoral-level specialist degree in educational leadership, a master’s degree in management, and undergraduate degrees in management and finance.
Hirst’s family includes a daughter, son and a nephew that he and his wife have been raising for about nine years. Hirst serves on the board of directors for the Grief and Loss Center of North Texas, the executive board of ATD Dallas, and advisory boards for the University of Texas at Dallas and Capella University. He and his wife are actively involved in dog rescue and foster.
